What is Pastoral Counseling?
A Christian pastoral counselor is a deeply committed, Spirit-guided and Spirit filled servant of Jesus Christ who applies his or her God given abilities, skills, training, knowledge, and insights to the task of helping others grow toward personal wholeness, interpersonal competence, mental balance, and spiritual maturity.
What Can I Expect?
Any counseling performed by the staff of the Millville Church of the Nazarene is based on a Biblical worldview first and foremost. We adhere to an integrative philosophy of ministry; therefore some interventions may include secular principles. Although we are a Christian center, it is not a requirement for those we help. Our desire is to meet people where they are and join them in their journey to health.

Wendy Hughes, MSCC, LPC, CCTP
Wendy has been working with adults most of her professional career. She is trained in treating numerous areas of psychopathology. Although Wendy comes from an integrative approach to counseling, her primary approach is Cognitive Behavioral and integrates this with a Biblical worldview. She has done significant research on the treatment of those with anxiety disorders.
