MCN's COVID-19 Response

PHASE 1: JUNE 19 - SEPTEMBER 12, 2020*

  • Return to Worship (attendance limited to 50 as per government guidelines).
  • Services Streamed (Facebook Live/millvillenazarene.org/sermons).
  • Family worship (no nursery, junior church at present).
  • Face masks highly recommended (AMA-based screening for no masks).
  • Touch-free experience: doors propped open, offering plates at sanctuary doors, songs projected, communion specially provided. No bulletins.
  • Greeters and ushers will be present to assist.
  • Physical Distancing per person/family unit.
  • Special provision given for sanitizing after services (also between services when 2nd service is added).
  • Restrooms available following CDC guidelines.
  • Egress via all doors.
  • Discipleship Hour/Sunday School via Zoom; Wednesday night & Special events as per protocol.

PHASE 2: STARTING SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2020*

  • Continued consideration given to Church, Health & Government guidance.
  • As in Phase 1, mask wearing and cleaning protocols will be followed.
  • Services & Regular Discipleship/Fellowship events streamed (online presence is important for those who cannot, or do not feel comfortable being on campus).
  • Outdoor worship services may be planned periodically.
  • Two worship services will be held: 9 a.m. (Facebook Live); 11 a.m. (not recorded).
  • Age-group Discipleship Hour/Sunday School (10:15-11 a.m.) will commence as follows:
  • Nursery (when deemed necessary);
  • Children together (Journey Home plus Zoom);
  • Teens (Journey Home);
  • Adult – The Gathering (Journey Home);
  • Young at Heart (Journey Home/Zoom);
  • Faith Builders (Zoom 10:30 a.m.).
  • The church building will be closed for sani-mister cleaning between services.
  • Wednesday night gatherings & other ministry events as per present practice/protocol.
  • Training will be provided for those who lead/facilitate events.

PHASE 3: STARTING LATER IN THE FALL*

  • Continued consideration given to Church, Health & Government guidance.
  • Moving toward mainstreaming of all services, with care given to those who may not be able to be present. Online presence to continue.
  • Consideration given to needs arising from the present circumstances & new ministries to fulfill our mission.
