City On A Hill

In Matthew 5:14–16, Jesus tells his disciples, “You are the light of the world.” That light is not something we manufacture—it comes from belonging to Christ and being transformed by his grace.

As the Spirit forms the life of Jesus in us, that transformation is meant to become visible in mercy, faithfulness, reconciliation, holy love, and the ordinary choices of everyday life. We do not need to force our witness or make faith awkward, but neither should we hide what God is doing in us for the sake of appearing “normal.”

In A City on a Hill, we are reminded that holiness becomes witness when the life of Christ shines through his people—not for our recognition, but so that others may see something of God and give glory to the Father.
