Day 39: Leviticus 7-9; Matthew 25:31-46

This morning I had one of those majorly frustrating techno-moments. The thoughts I composed and recorded were ready to be published. When I pushed the 'publish' button, an error message appeared with the instruction to log in again. No problem, I have saved my log-in. Click. Poof. All my wisdom disintegrated into the cloud and all I was left with was the heading. Today was one of those days: accountability breakfast, staff meeting, Chamber of Commerce, rest, Bible Study prep, board meeting, church supper, Bible Study, chat and clean-up. We used to sing a song based on the parable of the wise and foolish virgins (Matthew 25:1-13): "Give me oil in my lamp, keep me burning; give me oil in my lamp, I pray..." Ralph Earle, New Testament scholar, said that oil represents the Holy Spirit. Allow me to testify in this moment that without the Holy Spirit, I would not have made it past my techno-frustration. Now, I am ready to go to sleep, and I am grateful that the fellowship of the Holy Spirit has been real and sustaining through the day. Good night! By God's grace we will catch up in the morning. In the mean time, rest well and be refreshed as the Holy Spirit watches over you.
