Day 65: Numbers 36 - Deuteronomy 1; Mark 11:1-14

Prayer confesses. Trust possesses. (adapted, E.M. Bounds)

What a powerful reminder and promise Moses gives the Israelites in his recitation of their recent past. This is Yahweh your Elohim, Who He is and what He does. Reread Deuteronomy 1:29-31. Yes, twice Moses couples those profound 'God names'...Yahweh, I AM, Promise-Keeper, Ever-present Presence; and, Elohim, Sovereign God, Creator God, Supreme Majesty. Be courageous, for Yahweh your Elohim will protect you, even as He delivered you from slavery and oppression...same GOD! Whatever you are about to face, He is going before you...He's got you, you are safe, in Him you are more than a conqueror. And, think of this, you have seen many a father pick up his weary child and shoulder her, or him, across this wilderness wasteland. Yahweh your Elohim has done the same for you through this whole journey. If Father God can shoulder a nation, He can certainly shoulder you!

Perhaps this word is for you today. Recount the days and ways that God has proven Himself your loving heavenly Father. How has He delivered you, provided for you, protected you, made a way for you? In faith embrace Him, get up on His shoulder, and in courage ride into your day.  Prayer confesses. Trust possesses.
