Day 74: Deuteronomy 26-27; Mark 15:1-20

Just yesterday I had a conversation with someone about the controversial person named Judas Iscariot. Did he have a choice? Was he redeemable? Isolate a passage and the conclusion about 'the son of perdition' (John 17:12) is inevitable. However, watch his life, read his interactions with Jesus and see his options...the same ones the other disciples had. Today we read: "The one who accepts a bribe to kill an innocent person is cursed.’ And all the people will say, ‘Amen!’" (Deuteronomy 27:25, CSB). The context is in obedience/disobedience to God's Word, God's will. Violate the Word, it stands as your judge. Choose disobedience and you choose death. Refuse to repent, and you become a 'son of perdition.' It's true for such a person it is better if they had not been born.

The question remains: What will you do with Jesus? The other 11, and countless others have found, embrace Jesus as Savior and Lord and there is Life: abundant and everlasting! I choose the blessing! I choose Jesus!
