Day 99 Bible Reading; Day 1 Prayer Journey

HE IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN, INDEED! HALLELUJAH!

Note: As we continue to read through the Bible, today, April 9, we are entering our Journey of Prayer to Pentecost. For that reason, I am going to reflect on the prayer devotionals, and invite you to share your reflections. Reflections are often simply what comes to mind first in your reading...they may not be new or seem profound, but God will often use them to reinforce your journey, correct, encourage, strengthen your faith. Look for patterns.

Scripture: Luke 24:49

Highlights: "They [the apostles] will become witnesses to what they have never before experienced: they will wait for something new. Their minds have been opened by the risen Lord..."
"The mission hasn't changed, nor has the promise of power...The church needs Spirit-empowered disciples to remain focused on mission." (Carla Sunberg)

Personal Reflection: Wait first! Not do and then sit back and wait for God to bless. Wait and then join what God is doing, where He is moving, what He is blessing. It is the one who waits on the Lord who renews his/her strength - power! Wait first!
