Day 101: 1 Samuel 7-9; Luke 13:1-21; Day 3 Prayer Journey
"The Israelites said to Samuel, “Don’t stop crying out to the LORD our God for us, so that he will save us..." (1 Samuel 7:8, CSB).
This morning in my prayer journal I wrote my simple prayer: "Help me understand the times and know what to do." (check out 1 Chronicles 12:32). After a good afternoon rest, I am still awake. Everyone else has retired for the night. It is quiet and I am reflecting on what I have read today. Understanding what I know of the times, I have come back to the plea of the Israelites to Samuel: "Please, don't stop crying out to God for this nation, for this world. He alone is the Hope of our salvation!" It seems so simple, but it is so desperately needed. Come, let us seek Him together: "Hosanna! Blessed is He Who comes in the name of the LORD!"
