Day 134: 2 Kings 10-11; John 5:1-29; Day 36 Prayer Journey

Jesus said, "I can do nothing on my own...I do not seek my own will, but the will of him who sent me" (John 5:30, CSB). God's will prevails...ultimately and always. Whether it prevails in our lives is entirely up to us, but as for Him, He is Sovereign. Here is His grace demonstrated: He accomplishes His will so often through the surrendered heart. Take Jehoiada, the High Priest, for instance (2 Kings 11), who restored the rightful king and turned the heart of God's people back to Him. Jesus, beyond question, found His sustenance in doing God's will. Then, there is Paul in our Prayer Journal reading (Acts 18:9). The challenge there is for us all: "Don't be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent." You and I are on a mission, bringing Jesus to people. God, the Holy Spirit, has prepared the way. He is already there. He is with and in you. He will give you words to say and He will use your words to accomplish His will. He will be there after you leave. Speak up! Trust Him! I love the words of Billy Graham shared by Mark Bane: "Courage is contagious."

Be courageously contagious in the power of the Holy Spirit today!
