40 Days of Prayer and Fasting - Day 36
Day 36 – Saturday October 21st
And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
-James 5:15-16
We have joined together for these 40 days for a season of prayer and fasting in preparation for and anticipation of God’s presence and movement among us. It is good to be REminded of the power of prayer. We need to have a REsurgance of prayer among us. Our time of gathering will have been saturated in 40 days of prayer and fasting, but everything that we do and every day that we live should be similarly bathed in prayer. By prayer we draw close to God and align ourselves with him. By prayer we can move mountains, influencing the spiritual landscape around us for the sake of Christ’s Kingdom. As we close in on the beginning of our gathering less than a week from now, commit all the more to praying for God’s presence among us each night of the REvival. May hearts be touched, and lives changed.
