Day 38: Leviticus 14-15; Psalm 38

Our Father and our God,
There are days we do battle within ourselves and days we war against the enemy openly. We know the instigator of the battle is the enemy of our souls. We also know that in our own strength and because of our fallenness, we cannot win the battle. But, thanks be to God, through our Lord, Jesus Christ, the battle has been won (Romans 7:25)! Thank You for the Gift of the Holy Spirit Who has set us free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2) and is our Helper in these times of need (John 16:7-11)! Today, surround us with Your guardian angels to hold us up in their hands (Psalm 91:11-12) and surround and defend us (Psalm 34:7) in our quest for right living. Remind us that there is no weapon that is fashioned against us that can succeed (Isaiah 57:14). Remind us that Your Presence within us and Your Divine power at work in us is fully able to demolish strongholds, so that any argument or pretense that raises itself up against the knowledge of You and the way You have created us to live rightly and in relation with You and each other, will be brought down (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). May this be a day that Your Kingdom comes in us and in our world as Your will is done through us (Matthew 6:10)! Show us Your glory as You give the victory to Your children who live to love and serve You in this world as salt and light (Matthew 5:13-16)! Thank You for hearing and answering is in the Powerful and Peerless Name of Jesus! Amen!

LORD, do not forsake me; do not be far from me, my God.
Come quickly to help me, my Lord and my Savior. Psalm 38:21-22, NIV
