Day 171: Job 24-29; Psalm 21
Thank You, Father, that You call us Your friends (Isaiah 41:8; John 15:14-15)! What a great kindness, what gracious love! Help us to live today with that friendship in mind, to love You and treat You as a true friend would, and to extend that friendship to a world in need of the friendship of God.
"Oh, for the days when I was in my prime, when God’s intimate friendship blessed my house" (Job 29:4, NIV)
"Friendship with Jesus, fellowship divine;
O, what blessed, sweet communion, Jesus is a friend of mine!"

Hard to believe that He would want us as friends, but, He made us for a reason. God , Who can do anything. It is a comforting feeling and thing.
