Day 184: Psalms 70-76

As Your Word instructs us (1 Timothy 2:1-4) and the psalmists from time to time give us examples, we pray for those in authority over us. Lord God, give them wisdom to govern, humility to seek Your counsel and the counsel of the wise, courage to do what is right, and a commitment to what is just and true. If they are in error, show them their way. If they will not heed Your direction, then rule and overrule, Your plan and purpose to fulfill. Help us to be good citizens on earth, remembering that we are citizens of Heaven first. May all we do and say bring glory nd honor to You, even as we give our leaders the honor they are due. This we ask in Jesus' Name and for His sake. Amen!
