Day 186: Psalms 81-88

O Lord, Our God, today we give You thanks for the land in which we live. Flawed though it may be, desperately in need of Your great mercy and grace, yet we have a heritage that is rich in Your blessing, we have a beautifully diverse population, we have enjoyed innovation and have shared generously of our resources. Through this nation You have called and empowered so many to take the Great Good News of salvation in Jesus to our world. Turn our hearts toward You, Lord. Open our eyes to see. Help us to humble ourselves seeking Your forgiveness and may righteousness become our goal and standard to serve our world, making it a better place. Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift to us in Christ Jesus! Amen.
