Day 190: Psalms 108-117
Father, God, how we thank You that we have a Great High Priest, Jesus Christ! Thank You that He identifies with us fully with the exception of our sin. He knows our weakness and temptation, He understands our joys and our sorrows. He makes constant intercession for us before the throne of grace. We are truly a people blessed in every measure, and yes, we give You thanks and praise and honor and glory. Amen!
"The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: 'You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.'" (Psalm 110:4, NIV; See Hebrews 7:17, 21)
"23 Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office; 24 but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. 25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them." (Hebrews 7, NIV)

And, oh boy, do I need an Intercessor! So glad that Jesus is that High Priest.
Where would we be without Him...I dread the thought!
