Day 192: Psalms 120-134
Through the rhythms of life*, You are there...and not simply observing, but present and active. We face challenges in a world that does not want the shalom that comes from living Your way. We lift up our eyes in seeking trust to the One Who is above all in every way. We find You are enough and Your grace is sufficient. Even here and now we enjoy a deep sense of Your shalom, and we seek this for our world, for that is Your desire. Thank You for Your great faithfulness! Truly, morning by morning new mercies we see! Amen.
*You certainly noticed that I added a Psalm to today's reading. This way we completed all the 'Songs of Ascent.' They fit in a pattern of threes: a problem; the solution (in God); and, the celebration (praise and thanksgiving). Today the above prayer is modeled after the first set. Can you see Psalms 120-122 in it? How about writing your own prayer based on a set of 'Songs of Ascent.'
