Day 246: Ezekiel 7-10; Psalm 75
The world in which we live is in for a devastating shock, O Lord, for the standard they use against everyone else, while excusing themselves, is the measure by which they shall be judged. That will be their eternal end. Help us, O Lord, not to be smug. For, though we have been declared not guilty in Your judgment through the blood of Christ applied, this is only by grace. Instead, may our hearts be broken by the lostness of our world and may we cry out for their salvation. Hear our prayer, O Lord. Save our world for Jesus' sake. Amen!
"You [Elohim] say, 'I choose the appointed time; it is I who judge with equity.'" (Psalm 75:2, NIV)
"I will deal with them according to their conduct, and by their own standards I will judge them. Then they will know that I am the LORD." (Ezekiel 7:27b, NIV)

Oh, this hits home. Yes, I can be smug. In another devotion, it talked of those of the world with influence and in charge, etc., as " having their little minute..." I liked that and soothe my anger with it. But, I can also feel smug too. But, God has been and will ALWAYS be in charge! Totally and forever . I am trying to trust Him more each minute.
O yes...day by day, moment by moment, trusting, seeking, praying, living,
