Day 248: Ezekiel 14-16; Psalm 77
What a question! "Has God forgotten to be merciful?" (Psalm 77:9) Though it may feel that way at times, this we know: because of His great love we are not consumed, His mercies never fail (Lamentations 3:22). Indeed, He Who can never forget us has engraved our names on the palm of His hand (Isaiah 49:16). How amazing! May we never take this great love for granted, nor Your abundant mercies, O Lord! In awe and reverence, may we worship You and walk in humility and holiness. Only through Jesus and in His Name. Amen!

May I never forget His Mercy . But, it is " mind-blowing " that Mercy calls my name..." Me, who gets the mercy that she does not deserve.

That is exactly the phrase I was thinking of. I think that my old pastor, Rev. Charles Manning, that said that. Guess it made an impression on me, since that was more than 20 years ago.

Amen! Someone has said that grace is getting what I don't deserve and mercy is not getting what I do deserve...that has always given me pause for thought.
