Day 302: Luke 5-6; Psalm 131
In a restless world, we rest in You. Our confidence and security is not from within ourselves, but in You alone. Our contentment is not in the things we have nor is it in our own accomplishments. Likewise, we are not discontented and fearful, for we are in Your presence even now, and to know You is to know shalom. Yes, like a child safe in the arms of the father, full and satisfied through the nurture and embrace of the mother, we rest in Your presence. And, here, all is well.
But I have calmed and quieted myself,
I am like a weaned child with its mother;
like a weaned child I am content. (Psalm 131:2, NIV)
But I have calmed and quieted myself,
I am like a weaned child with its mother;
like a weaned child I am content. (Psalm 131:2, NIV)

This is a comforting reminder for the day, where the world seems to almost love its chaos. The sun and - our Father - are always there each new morning.
Thank God, He is ever-present and everywhere-present!
