Day 194: Psalm 7-9; Acts 17:1-15
A delightful video made its appearance in my newsfeeds today. A reporter was walking around telling people he would give them $50 if they could quote one Scripture verse. This beautiful and vibrant, mature lady quoted Isaiah 40:21-31without hesitation. Caught off guard, the reporter congratulated the lady and gave her the $50. To which she retorted: "Praise the Lord!" as she waved the bill in the air and turned to continue her shopping. One more question came from the reporter: "Is there any advice you would like to give?" The answer was swift and deliberate: "Get saved!"
Today we read that the Bereans received the word eagerly, examined the Scripture, and as a consequence, many believed in Jesus for salvation (Acts 17:10-12). Learn the lesson from the Bereans and the 'mature' lady...and pass it on.

I so agree with the "mature lady," being one myself. Got to be saved! It is 'the' most important decision to make.
