Day 207: Psalms 44-46; Acts 25

"I appeal to Caesar" (Acts 25:11)

It's been more than two years since Paul has been imprisoned, the object of curiosity with no serious indication of a fair trial. The new governor is still playing political games and Paul's life is once again endangered. Enough is enough! Paul was promised by God that he would witness in Rome (Acts 23:11). His right as a Roman citizen was to have a fair trial at the highest level...he appeals to Caesar. Paul would spend at least two more years imprisoned, some believe more, awaiting his 'fair' trial. He did not waste a moment, witnessing to the world and writing some of his most famous letters. To me, the reason for Paul's fruitful life is in his daily appeal to the Heavenly Father, through the Savior he loved, in the power of the Holy Spirit. He had learned the secret of the Psalmist: "Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted...in all the earth!" (Psalm 46:10).

Today, appeal to the Highest Power in the courts of Heaven. Not only is He Sovereign of the Universe, He is your Abba Father.
