Day 212: Psalms 59-61; Acts 28:17-31

It's testimony time. As we read through the Psalms, it is quite evident why they were considered a 'Prayer Manual.' The writers are always talking to God. Check out Psalm 61:1: "God, hear my cry; pay attention to my prayer" (CSB). In my devotional reading, I was reminded that prayer is not only my God-ward conversation, but I also need to pray that I will be attentive to God speaking to me. Yesterday in my final preparation for preaching today (it is Sunday), I felt God prompt me (God speaking to me) to change my support Scripture at the beginning of my sermon to Jeremiah 29:13...so I did. This morning, as I sat down to my devotions, my 'verse of the day' made it's buzzing appearance on my phone. Yes, Jeremiah 29:13. Here it is in the Names of God Bible: "When you look for me, you will find me. When you wholeheartedly seek me, I will let you find me..." (I added the beginning of v.14, because I love the reminder that God wants us to find Him in deep and abiding relationship). Praise God for His ever-present faithfulness! He is good...all the time!

I love that -... I will let you find Me..." What a comfort that He wants me to talk and He will listen.
