Day 217: Psalms 73-74; Romans 5
"Yet I am always with you;
you hold my right hand." (Psalm 73:23, CSB)
What great consolation there is in the image of a child taking a walk holding onto Father God's hand. God, holding my right hand...that is favor and security from the One in Whom I am totally and ultimately secure. Just this thought brought someone to tears this week with whom I was speaking. In their present journey they are facing huge obstacles. Of course, I reverted to Isaiah 41:13: "For I, the LORD your God, take hold of your right hand and say to you, 'Do not be afraid, I will help you!" There is no greater assurance. Hold tightly to God's hand! He's got you!
