Day 224: Psalms 90-92; Romans 11:1-24

"Because he has his heart set on me, I will deliver him;
I will protect him because he knows my name." (Psalm 91:14, CSB)

You have most certainly heard it said, mostly in a negative or critical context, "It's not what you know, but who you know." Quite clearly, the Psalmist shares this view, but in the opposite context. Those whose focus is God, His glory, His will, His mission, are the ones who 'know' Him. You have also heard often that to know in the biblical sense is to enjoy the deepest and most intimate personal knowledge. It is the knowledge of presence and experience. Those who know Him, enjoy His covering and protection. Indeed, He is the shield around about them, their glory and the One Who lifts their head (Psalm 3:3), raising them up to a status of beloved. Do you know His name?
