Day 247: Proverbs 3-4; 1 Corinthians 12:14-31

Wisdom is born not out of information-knowledge, but out of relationship-knowledge. As the saying goes, knowledge is power, and true power for living comes from knowing God. The CSB is correct when it translates those familiar words: "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6). Remember, that knowledge is relational. It is the knowledge of experiencing life in God's Word and Presence. The more we know Him, the more we know how to live wisely, and He makes our path (our life-journey) straight (even the convoluted road we're on, with Him becomes a highway of holiness for us to return Home). Make relationship that is intimate and personal and reverential with your Abba Father your priority. All else will fall into place.

A very "wise" lady, who was a Sunday School teacher of mine in my youth, gave me this verse enclosed with a gift. I did not think on it too much at the time, but over the years, it seems to pop up often. I should pay it some attention. Thanks, Mrs. S.

Grateful for the Truth, and the faithfulness of those who share it! Indeed, those who embrace the Word live 'wise' lives.
