Day 254: Proverbs 17-18; 2 Corinthians 2

It's hard to believe that 'the fragrance of Christ' (2 Corinthians 2:15, CSB) and 'the aroma of death' (v.16) can arise out of the same person, and that person having the presence of Jesus flow out of their lives. The difference is not the one with the Presence, but the one encountering that person. The presence of Jesus in us draws like people together and brings joy. The presence of Jesus in us repels people bound by their rebellion (or hurt) away from us and brings conviction...sometimes with extreme reaction. Whatever you do, keep allowing the presence of Jesus to flow through you...the drawing together becomes a witness to others and a blessing to the Lord and His church. The hope for the 'repelled' is that at some point, that Presence within us, by the Spirit, will so shine out that they will be drawn to Him. Be fragrant for Jesus today!
