Day 261: Ecclesiastes 2-4; 2 Corinthians 9
When words are not enough...
There are moments when there is nothing left to say and yet that which causes us anguish or consternation is still unresolved. In those moments, I take to heart the Word of God. "Cease striving! Be still! Know me as God, your Creator and Sustainer, Majesty of majesties" (Psalm 46:10). Yes, He is the One Who Hears the intercession of the Holy Spirit Who pleads in our behalf in groanings that cannot be expressed in words...when we do not know how to pray, or what to pray for (Romans 8:26-27).
There are moments when words are not enough. When we have spent time in the glorious Presence of the One Who has made every grace overflow to us in every way so that in everything we have all that we need in Him (2 Corinthians 9:8). Overwhelmed by His gracious and glorious generosity, we are speechless...there are no words! He is there with us...we can taste and see that He is good (Psalm 34:8)!
Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! (2 Corinthians 9:15)
