Day 267: Song of Songs 6-8; Galatians 1

"They simply kept hearing, 'He who formerly persecuted us now preaches the faith he once tried to destroy.' And they glorified God because of me." (Galatians 1:23-24, CSB)

It's difficult for some to identify with the extreme change in a Saul become Paul, or a slave trader named John Newton who became a poet-preacher. When one hears the farthest reaches of grace encountered, indeed, the heart rejoices and glorifies God. However, amazing grace is just that...a cause to glorify our Saving God who is not willing that any should perish, and reaches into our sin-stained lives, washing us, setting us up as children of grace, living witnesses of the change that comes about through redeeming love. Come, let us exalt the Lord together, for He has done great things in all of us!
