Day 272: Isaiah 13-15; Galatians 6

"Carry one another’s burdens and in this way you will fulfill the requirements of the law of Christ [that is, the law of Christian love]." (Galatians 6:2, AMP)
"Love empowers us to fulfill the law of the Anointed One as we carry each other's troubles." (Galatians 6:2, TPT)

In the original language, the first word in the verse above is 'one another' (yes, it's one word in Greek)...'one anothering.' The sense that we are not alone is vital in this Christian journey, but more than that, the sense that we are bound by the 'law of Christ' which is the 'law of love' (Romans 13:8). Our journey together is founded in the law of agape (John 13:34-35). So what is it we are doing for one another in God's kind of love? The 'weight, the heaviness, the hard and grievous load' (lexicon) that we all carry is to be shared...'lifted, borne up, carried with our hands, or in person' (lexicon). I confess, I cannot do this alone. Nor can you. We were made for each other and when we bear each other's burdens, we lighten the load. When we bear them in love, we witness to the world and make the heart of Jesus glad.

P.S. Every time one of you reminds me that you are praying for me, you are bearing my burden, and I am deeply grateful! Thank you from my heart!

Yes, prayer is truly the greatest gift you can offer for me. I am needy and grateful that God's supply is measureless...and that He supplies it in answer to prayer, yours and mine. From my heart, I am deeply grateful for your prayers!
