40 Days of Prayer and Fasting - Sunday Feast 10/1
Sunday Feast! No Fast Today!
Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.
-Psalm 139:23-24
Often, we are uncomfortable with change. Even if we know there’s something in our lives that God wants us to change, sometimes we make excuses or minimize it because we are more comfortable with avoiding God than confronting change. As we approach this time of gathering in God’s presence, we are called to submit to God in all of our ways, in every area of our lives. If we are desiring God to move us in REvival, we need to start with REpentance. Pray, as David did, that God would examine your heart and know your mind. When you pray this, however, you need to be willing to change the things that God asks you to change and to go where he leads you to go.
