Day 287: Isaiah 50-52; 1 Thessalonians 2

How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of the herald,
who proclaims peace,
who brings news of good things,
who proclaims salvation,
who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
The voices of your watchmen—
they lift up their voices,
shouting for joy together;
for every eye will see
when the LORD returns to Zion.
Be joyful, rejoice together,
you ruins of Jerusalem!
For the LORD has comforted his people;
he has redeemed Jerusalem.
The LORD has displayed his holy arm
in the sight of all the nations;
all the ends of the earth will see
the salvation of our God. (Isaiah 52:7-10, CSB)

How fitting on this day that we should read these words. In the midst of war and ongoing terroristic threats against Israel, we pray: "Show us Your glory, LORD! Let Yeshua the Messiah appear in power to destroy the hatred and redeem Your children throughout the nations in the sight of the nations. Let Your Kingdom come, let Your will be done on earth as in heaven. Let it be obviously only at Your hand that this is accomplished. We plead this in the Name of Jesus, that Name which is above all names, the Name to which every knee will bow and tongue confess that He is Sovereign LORD, Amen!"
