Day 306: Jeremiah 31-32; Titus 2

"He gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for himself a people for his own possession, eager to do good works." (Titus 2:14, CSB)

The cost of God's writing the law on our hearts, forgiving our transgressions and remembering our sins against us no more (Jeremiah 31:31-34) is spelled out: "He gave himself for us to redeem us..." There is no measure for redeeming love. There is, however, a response to this grace beyond measure: to be possessed by Him, cleansed from lawlessness and all-in in the service of worship, I live to please Him. And, I live with an eager expectation of His return and all that means. "There is hope for your future - this is the LORD's declaration" (Jeremiah 31:17).

I want to please Him, but my fickle heart always trips me up.

Keep pressing on toward the goal...you will make it! (Philippians 3:12-14; Hebrews 12:1-2)
