Day 309: Jeremiah 38-40; Hebrews 1
"The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact expression of his nature, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high." (Hebrews 1:3, CSB)
There are moments when we must simply pause and reflect. Who is Jesus? What has Jesus done? For us? Where is He now? What does that mean? How, then, should I live? In relationship to Him? In this world? The writer to the Hebrews wants us to gain an unmistakable understanding of Who Jesus, the Christ, is. He is God the Son! No one is His superior. He is co-equal with God the Father. So begins the conversation that will unwrap the reality of the New Covenant (Jeremiah 31:31-34) and all that means. Soon we will read these marvelous words, but for now, reflect: who is Jesus?
