Day 311: Jeremiah 44-45; Hebrews 3

Remember Baruch? He was faithful to Jeremiah, faithful to God. In the midst of all the nasty opposition to God's Word and way, in the personal attack of Jeremiah, he was there rewriting scrolls and delivering prophetic messages to hateful people. He suffered because of his faithfulness to Jeremiah and God. He was ultimately taken off into captivity. No one's ideal, that is for certain. Perhaps even a reason to moan and groan. God does not overlook the faithfulness of His servants. The Word of God has a message directed specifically to him: "'I am about to bring disaster on all humanity'—this is the Lord’s declaration—'but I will grant you your life like the spoils of war wherever you go.'” (Jeremiah 45:5). When God grants the faithful life, it is life eternal! Hold on!

These are encouraging words- " ...when God grants the faithful life, it is life eternal." Have to hold on, I know that my Maker has my best interests of any.
