Day 312: Jeremiah 46-48; Hebrews 4

Having reminded readers of the living power of the Word, its penetrating ability to judge in truth at the inspiration of its Author, rather than demand undying loyalty and unwavering obedience (which it could in every measure), the inspired writer speaks God's invitation (Hebrews 4:12-16). We have a Mediator, a High Priest, Who has made a way to live by the Word. He has shown us how. Now, for those of us who recognize our inability to live the Word in our own strength, He invites us into the very throne room of God, Lord of heaven and earth, there to find mercy (not getting what I deserve) and grace (getting what I do not deserve) to meet is in our deep need. Can this truth ever get old? If God is for us...He undoubtedly is...who can ever be against us? Join me. Let's approach the throne in deep reverence, recognizing our own poverty, seeing the hand of Love extended to see us through victoriously to the ultimate plan of redemption.
