Day 335: Ezekiel 43-44; 2 Peter 2

Does 2 Peter 2 describe the world we live in today? Those who pervert justice, who try to make a lie the truth, who make humans mere animals with no control over their senses, who call evil good and slander those who stand for righteousness, who corrupt children and minors and parade their sinful practices for all to see, who destroy life in the name of personal rights and rally for those whose goal is anarchy..."in their destruction they too will be destroyed. They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done." (2 Peter 2:12b-13a, CSB). Their day is coming. So is ours. Peter reminds us that their 'reign' is temporary, but God's is from everlasting to everlasting. And, in Him, we too shall reign. Hold on to right living and pray with Jesus: "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven!"

I hold on to this message and believe, as each day brings more disturbing stories. People die -as God LIVES on. Hope for the day.

"My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood..."
