Day 344: Hosea 1-3; Jude

Remember the gift of exhortation? Encouragement with a call to action that leads to change, growth...an embrace and a hand up. These are characteristic of Jude's last words in his brief letter (Jude 20-25): take responsibility to do your part in your own spiritual formation; pray always with the Holy Spirit's guidance; live in God's love - presence with God matters; look to Jesus and for Jesus - our merciful Savior; be merciful to wavering brothers and sisters, and show mercy to the lost in order to see them saved by grace; and beware of the cunning grasp of sin - stay far from it.

Finally, abandon yourself to the Only One Who can not only keep you from falling, but present you blameless in eternity before God. Yes, abandon yourself in worship, for He alone is worthy of our adoration.

Great exhortation to live by! Keep us living in You, Father, through Jesus and by the Holy Spirit. Amen!
