Day 347: Hosea 11-14; Revelation 3

Continuing our seven-church (Revelation 2-3) reflection from yesterday, we move on to Sardis (3:1-6). Unlike the old soda add, image is not everything...God sees through reputations to reality, am I awake in my faith or asleep in the light? Like Smyrna, Philadelphia (3:7-13) has no criticism from Christ...so may my journey be blameless in Him...even when life does not favor me am I found faithful and walking through the doors of mission to reach my world for Jesus? And then there is Laodicea (3:14-22) for whom Jesus says nothing good...am I the comfortable Christian who thinks all is well because I am okay and know enough to get by while I feel good about mediocre Christian living? The Good News is that Jesus gave up on none of the churches! He does not give up on you and me! So He invites us each personally into an ongoing and deepening fellowship with Him. Come, open the door to His knock, then living as an overcomer becomes the reality of life, not the exception. Grace has its marvelous blessings, the greatest of which is Jesus, Himself.

Yes, Grace has its "marvelous blessings..." He is my "Shalom."
