Day 356: Micah 6-7; Revelation 12

"But I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me." (Micah 7:7, CSB)

There that word is once again: wait. From time to time this Advent season we have referenced Advent as 'God's Waiting Room.' Micah certainly is looking for a day when God shows up in a world that sometimes feels totally godless. His resolve is that of the faithful who endure the fury of the dragon (Revelation 12). They know that to those who look to Yahweh (I AM, Promise-Keeper), our Elohim (Creator, Sovereign, Majesty) will hear those who wait for Him...who look to Him with expectancy, hope and love. We're not that far from Bethlehem right now. Hold on! Look to Him! The God Who loves us supremely keeps His promises...and He is here right now. He sees. He hears. He knows. He cares.

This renews my hopes. I am not the first to wait.

Indeed, we are surrounded by a great crowd of witnesses (Hebrews 12:1), all of whom have waited...they are cheering us on. Hope does not disappoint us! So, wait on the Lord, be strong and take courage and wait on the Lord (Psalm 27:14).
