Day 13: Genesis 37-39; Psalm 13

O LORD,
Morning and evening and all through the day, You are with me. Today I bow in worship of You and give You praise, the Ever-present One! In this season I acknowledge with gratitude the grace of awareness. The awareness has not always been there. There have been seasons when I would say with the Psalmist, "How long, O LORD, will You hide Your face from me?" (Psalm 13:1). In truth, LORD, that has been my own perception. Through the silence and sense of absence, I have learned to trust You. In reflection, I can see that You were always there. So, again, thank You for grace that sustains in silence and for grace that allows me this sense of awareness. May my gratitude overflow and be grace to those I encounter today. In Jesus' Name, Amen!

But I trust in your unfailing love;
    my heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing the LORD’s praise,
    for he has been good to me. (Psalm 13:5-6, NIV)

Oh, that silence can be deafening. Nevertheless, I will keep on trusting and putting one foot in front of the other. " But I trust in your unfailing love..."
