Day 24: Exodus 17-20; Psalm 24

Just yesterday, Lord, I had a conversation with someone who discovered that kids in a fenced in park feel safer...boundaries are necessary for life to be its best. That took me back to a study in which teens confessed that boundaries gave them confidence and made them feel loved and protected. Today I read about the boundaries You have set for us in Your Word (Exodus 20:1-17). We call them the Ten Commandments, but really, they are boundaries for a thriving relationship with You and with others. You make it clear that their foundation is Your love and deliverance, Your protection and provision. In them, it is clear that Your plan and desire is to bless Your covenant people. Thank You that by Your Spirit You have written Your Law in our hearts. Today, help me to love You with all that I am, and to love my neighbor as I live as a good steward of all You have given me in care and service. Thank You that You really do care and want the best for me...for us! You have clearly shown this in Jesus Christ, in Whose Name I ask this. Amen!

I believe in boundaries also. Our nation is fast approaching a state of no boundaries in some ways. To our destruction. But, God has it all in Hand. I need to keep on keeping on.
