Day 25: Exodus 21-22; Psalm 25

LORD,
You are good and Your mercy endures forever. In Your goodness we depend, we have confidence that You will be Your character, for You are true to Who You are. You are Love! Your are Holy! You are Holy Love! You call us to walk in Your presence, to live in Your presence and be like You. That is a high and lofty calling, but You would never ask of us that which You do not enable us to be, to do. Thank You that 'no where in Scripture do you call us to absolute perfection' (Albert Harper). There is none who is absolutely perfect, none but You alone! However, thank You that You trust us to live wholly surrendered lives in love, obedience and service...this is what holiness is and does. Never would this work in our own strength and ability. However, our Father's love draws us, compels us to respond in holy love; our Savior's death, His shed blood, is grace that saves and keeps at great cost; the Holy Spirit's cleansing, empowering baptism is the constant supply of power to live as holy witnesses. Thank You for this reminder...if God be for us, who can ever be against us. So, today, we thank You for trusting us to grow into Christlikeness more and more. Walk with us tangibly as we walk with You. In Jesus' name. Amen.
