Day 32: Exodus 39-40; Psalm 32

Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. (Psalm 34:5, NIV)

The Psalmist said, "I sought the LORD and He answered me." Jesus said, "Seek and you will find." Jeremiah wrote, "But you will seek me and you will find me; when you search for me with all your heart, I will be found by you." LORD, You are not a God Who is far off, for as we read today in the completion and set-up of the tabernacle and the ordination of Aaron and his sons, You made Your presence known to Your people...gloriously. We are struck by the frequency and the intimacy of the words that the people and Moses did "just as the LORD commanded." You were in the details of reminding Your children that You tabernacled in their midst. They were careful to listen to and obey Your every word. The beauty of that relationship makes us grasp the words of the Psalmist when he writes: "O taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him." Your servant Moses would often, upon going into Your holy presence, come out of the meeting his face aglow with Your glory. Your glory can be reflected in us, too. For those who look to You, beholding Your glory with unveiled faces (intimate relationship by grace) are being transformed into Your likeness, Jesus, degree by degree...radiant with uncovered faces. O LORD, show us Your glory and show Your glory through us. We love You and gladly we listen and obey, for You are our Father and we are Your beloved children. Amen!
