Day 35: Leviticus 7-9; Psalm 35
Moses and Aaron then went into the tent of meeting. When they came out, they blessed the people; and the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people. Fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they shouted for joy and fell facedown. (Leviticus 9:23-24, NIV)
This is not only the day that You have made, this is Your day, the Lord's Day. With the Psalmist we are glad when those around us say, "Let us go to the House of the LORD!" To Your House we will go with joy. The gathering of Your children in worship and praise is a delight to us. The fellowship we share because of Jesus brings us joy. Thank You for this wonderful blessing! Thank You for this regular gathering that always reminds us that we are never alone. We have You. We have each other. Prepare our hearts, O Lord, for coming together in Your presence. May Your Holy Spirit clearly fill and guide our gathering. May worship be free and focused solely on Jesus. May Your Word dwell in our hearts richly in our singing and in our hearing. May we come with willing spirits and a readiness to obey what You call us to. And, may our gathering be a blessing to You and to us, so that in our going those we encounter will know we have been in Your presence and will be drawn to Jesus in us. Glorify Yourself this day! We love You and ask this in the Name of Jesus. Amen!
