Day 48: Numbers 8-10; Psalm 48

Father God,
Thank You for the wilderness! In Israel's wilderness wandering we see so much of human nature...so much of ourselves. More importantly, we see Your nature revealed. Holy and just, merciful and gracious, loving and faithful...present. Thank You! When we enter Your presence in worship, we encounter and meditate on Your unfailing love (Psalm 48:9). In these moments, and in all of life, it is no wonder that Your praise is heard throughout the earth (Psalm 48:10). You are Majesty of majesties, King of kings, LORD of lords...Elohim! No wonder Your praise reverberates from village to village, city to city, state to state, nation to nation across all time zones around the world and into the farthest reaches of creation. You are Elohim, the God of creation, the God Who is greater than all creation! So, we marvel at this reality...You are our Elohim because we are Your people by Your unfailing love and gracious faithfulness! And, this is not only true in this life, but even 'beyond death' (Psalm 48:14, Names of God). We join the throngs of worshipers in praise and adoration! Holy, holy, holy is the LORD our Elohim! Amen!
