Day 52: Numbers 18-20; Psalm 52

Father in Heaven,
When others attempt to thwart our journey, when they place obstacles in our paths and come against us because we are Yours, see the work of their hands and deal with them, even as You defend us and make a way for us through the wilderness of opposition. When we are slandered, may our confidence be in what You have said and our identity in who You have created us to be in You. Let the words of the slanderers become their own undoing. When there is grumbling and complaining all around us, when there appears no solution to the obstacles that cause the grumbling, may we always look to You for answers, not taking the situation into our own hands, but fully trusting You Who have always been faithful, making a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert. Help us daily to walk in Your Presence, fixing our eyes on Jesus Who is the One Who initiated this journey of faith and the One Who will see it through to its consummation. Thank You that You have made the Way! In the Name of Jesus. Amen.

The grumbling and complaining Israelites were certainly dealt with quickly by God. I see myself as among them. I need to be honest with myself and ask God , to lead me to trust- and obey. Just like the song-" ... there is no other way..."

Yes, the secret is 'walking with the Lord in the light of His Word.'
