Day 60: Deuteronomy 2-3; Psalm 60

Thank You, Abba Father, that You are a jealous God! (Exodus 20:5; Deuteronomy 4:24)
Yes, You are a consuming fire. Because we know You, even though that knowledge is just a shadow of what it will be, we do not fear the judgment that scorches through that consuming fire. No, LORD God, we have found that consuming fire to be a refining fire. For You are jealous for Your own, protecting and providing, purifying and preparing us for Your eternal presence...the place where we will know fully, even as we are fully known. So, keep consuming in us anything that is not like You and keep filling us with Your Holy Spirit, so that we may grow into Christlikeness for Your honor and glory. This we ask in the Name of Jesus. Amen!

I need that consuming fire to take away the ungodly things about me. I will admit that I fear how painful it can be, though. But, I do not want to be lukewarm in my faith.

God sees our hearts and grants us our heart's desires when they align with His will. This is a prayer He wants to answer. Keep leaning into Him!
