Day 63: Deuteronomy 10-11; Psalm 63

Father,
It seems so simple, this call to holy living: love the LORD your God, walk in obedience to Him, hold fast to Him (Deuteronomy 11:22). I know my wandering tendencies, however, I know I need a changed heart (Deuteronomy 10:16). That is something only You can do in me. Thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit! Thank You for His work in me that cleanses my heart (Acts 15:8-9). May my life reflect Your work in me, and may I live daily a life more like Christ. I love You and serve You with all of my heart. In Jesus' Name I pray this. Amen.

Like that line from an old hymn, I am "prone to wander." Got to keep trusting ...

If only I could live it more... At 65 years of age, I need to step it up.

Yes, I love that reminder you shared in Sunday School of the familiar hymn: "Trust and obey, for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus..."
