Day 69: Deuteronomy 27-28; Psalm 69

In this midday meeting, My Father, I am grateful to You for the sense of Your presence through the day. There is something in me that wants to think that Jesus may have confronted the 'money changers' in the temple at the time of midday prayer (John 2:13-21). I thought of that in our daily Scripture reading as I read in Psalm 69:9 that 'zeal for Your house consumed him' (John 2:17). In the other Gospel accounts He challenged the 'money changers' that God's House should be a House of Prayer for all nations (Isaiah 56:7; Luke 19:46). For Him, Your presence was what mattered, and worship and communion with You and Your children was a priority. So, as I enjoy Your presence, I anticipate gathering soon in worship and communion, with You and Your children. May Your presence now be real to all who will gather, a preparation for a great gathering on the LORD's Day. May Your presence in our gathering tomorrow be glorious, Your praise resounding, and the renewal of Your people in the Holy Spirit powerful...and contagious in our going. Revive us in praise! Revive us in mission! May our zeal for Your Household betray Your living presence in us and may it draw people to You. Amen!
