Day 85: Judges 10-12; Psalm 85

Thank You, Father, that You do have a father's heart! There is something that brings great comfort from the testimony of Judges 10, where in confessing their sin and turning from their idols in repentance, we read, "And he [God] could bear Israel’s misery no longer" (v.16). Help us never to take that compassion for granted. To live by grace in faithfulness because of the joy of Your love and righteousness at work in us, this will be our shalom (Psalm 85:10-11). Amen!

This is a real balm for my soul. God not keeping His anger. Growing up, long term anger in grownups was the norm. I am so thankful that My Maker is forgiving and full of compassion and love.

Yes, and that He helps us break that cycle of anger, sharing peace instead.
